  • Fire Students at Vermilion

    January 5, 2018

    Each of our Fire Programs receives live fire training at the Fire Emergency Training Center (ETC), Lakeland College in Vermilion.

  • Being physically fit is an important goal for first responders.  ESA Fire - Enhanced and EMT/PCP programs both include a fitness training component at Little Sweatshop in Sherwood Park, which focuses on the skills needed for these particular careers.

  • ESA Fire Program Announcement

    ESA is pleased to announce that our Professional Fire Fighter Program is now licensed by the Private Career Colleges Branch of Alberta Advanced Education. As such, the accreditation for the NFPA modules in our program is regulated through the Office of the Fire Commissioner, Alberta.

    The Fire programs are designated for federal and provincial student funding.  

    • Alberta students may apply online through

      ESA provides training for practicioners who are registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) with an EMR or PCP Restricted license.

  • Help for Clahens!

    Hi everyone,

    This morning, 8 year old Judah and his mother got up at 0630 to make muffins for a fundraising bake sale at ESA.

    Today Judah raised $122.30 to send a 4 yr named Clahens to school in Haiti. This donation will also encompass medical care for Clahens and his immediate family.  The generosity exhibited by the ESA EMR and Fire classes was exceptional.

  • Get Fit with Fire!

    We are very excited that we have a fitness component in the ESA Fire - Enhanced Program.

    Fitness training sessions are provided for ESA Fire students as part of their training program.  Training is job specific and helps students prepare for the Candidate Competition during the final week of the ESA Fire Program, for future job competitions, and ultimately for a career as a fire fighter.
